On Saturday, November 11th, we will celebrate Veterans Day, a day in which we honor and pay respects to those who have served and are currently serving in the military. With our proximity so close the Nation’s capital, we are very fortunate to have the opportunity to honor our Vets in several different ways on Veterans Day.
Here are some activities you can do to honor our Veterans this Veterans Day around Lakeside:
Attend the 9th Annual Greater Manassas Veterans Day Parade this Saturday, November 4th, at 11 am. In Old Town Manassas
Visit Arlington National Ceremony and watch the national Veterans Day wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at 11 a.m. on Veterans Day.
Take part in several special Veterans Day ceremonies at the various memorials around the DMV area.
Listen to patriotic music at the American Festival Pops All-Stars concert on Veterans Day at 4 p.m.
Buy a Vet a Beer at either Fair Winds Brewing Company or Mustang Sally Brewing Company
Pay tribute to those who have served at a National Park
