On Sunday, June 4th, head to our favorite spot (besides Lakeside), Bull Run National Park and participate in the brand NEW NOVA Wine Run 5K at Vintage Virginia! In addition to the 5K run, there is also a kids fun run for your little ones, 12 and under! This 5K run will take you around the park starting and ending in the concert pavilion. Not a huge fan of running? With this run, you can put together a team to run with, but make sure your team comes dressed to impress because there will also be a costume contest!
However, if the team costume contest still isn’t winning you over, maybe this will….
When you finally cross the finish line, you’ll be able to quickly quench your thirst at one of the several Virginia wines from 30+ participating Virginia wineries at the Vintage Virginia Wine & Food Festival! Your cost to participate in the 5K run, which is $49 or $59 for VIP, will also gain you entrance into the wine & food festival and unlimited wine tastings from 11 a.m. through 6 p.m.
Unlike last year where you maybe felt guilty for indulging in either too much wine, too much food, or both at this event, you’ll be able to enjoy the festival guilt-free knowing you just ran like there’s wine at the finish line… because there is!
p.s. don’t wait, this event most likely will be sold out and only 2,000 runners will be able to register for the 5K!
