With our proximity so close to the nation’s capital here at Lakeside, we have several dining and bar options right in our neighborhood! As we have settled into our cozy spots around Centreville, we have seen places come, stay and sadly leave us wishing it wasn’t so! Recently, we have watched a new spot open up and this is one we really don’t want to see go for some time, Sō Korean Barbeque! If you have yet to venture the 1.5 miles up the road to this new spot…. well…. we just aren’t sure what you are waiting for exactly!
Sō Korean BBQ opened in the middle of October to eager patrons that were already familiar with the restaurant’s sister restaurant in Annandale, Kogiya (which was one of Washingtonians Best 100 Restaurants for 2015). This second restaurant for the family, located in Pickwick Square Shopping Center, will instantly become a neighborhood hot spot for you and your friends and family. Sō is an authentic Korean BBQ restaurant with fun food options of small plates, sharable options, a la carte selections or two different all you can eat menus. They also have drink options ranging from Soju, Korea’s most popular alcoholic beverage, to local wine and beer choices. During the day, you will find a lunch special for only $12 which includes 1 person portion of meat grilled at your table and a side dish.
We are positive that Sō Korean Barbeque is here to stay and will be part of our neighborhood landscape for quite some time! We guarantee that you will SŌ love it!
