This Saturday, October 21st, marks one of our favorite days around Lakeside, CENTREVILLE DAY!

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. join the rest of the community in celebrating the 25th Annual Centreville Day in the Centreville Historic District.  This FREE event has something for everyone; history, family fun, food, crafts and shopping!  Kids will be able to participate in rides, a maze and face painting, all of which are free.  There will also be live entertainment throughout the day from Powerworx, Centreville Dance, Sundays on TAP, Wushu Academy, Halleluiah Tae Kwon Do, Fairfax Choral Society, Korean Washington Senior Harmonica Ensemble, The VaDeatles, Korean Autoharp Ensemble and Pirates for Sail.

Also, Centreville Day kicks off with the American Legion Parade at 11 a.m. featuring local groups and organizations, first responders, musicians and dancers.  The parade will make its way to the Centreville Marketplace by 11:30.  You won’t want to miss the fun of the parade!

Another part of this great day for our community is the Pet Pageant! We know we have a lot of pet lovers in Lakeside and this is your opportunity to show off your amazing pet! Whether you have a cat, dog or even a bird, the Pet Pageant is open to all pets.  Prizes will be given out to the top pets and proceeds and donations received from the Pet Pageant will all go to benefit the Friends of the Fairfax County Animal Shelter!
